Increase Physical Activity Today

While a busy work schedule, busy home life or a hectic lifestyle may leave you feeling like you have no time, there are ways to increase your physical activity!

Do you feel that it is impossible to add physical activity into your day beacause you are just "too busy?" 

A busy work schedule, busy home life or a hectic lifestyle may certainly leave you feeling like you have no time, but there are ways to find time for physical activity. Making time for physical activity will promote good health and help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes.

Here are some tips to get more physical activity in your day:

At Work:

  • Get off the bus or subway one stop early and walk the rest of the way.
  • Replace a coffee break with a walk.
  • Put aside part of your lunch hour to take a walk.
  • Take part in an exercise program at work or a nearby gym.

At Home:

  • Walk the dog.
  • Clean the house or wash the car.
  • Play with the kids.
