Bronxville Cops Bust 3 on Possession of Stolen Property Charges

The separate incidents happened Friday and Monday.

Twenty-year-old Christian Abreu of the Bronx was charged Friday with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd degree (a class D felony), after Bronxville police said he was discovered driving a stolen vehicle on Parkway Road.

A short motor vehicle pursuit ensued and Abreu was apprehended on Lake Avenue just before 1 a.m. The passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Nathalie Candelario also of the Bronx, also was charged with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.

The driver of a second stolen vehicle at the same time and place was identified by Bronxville police officers, and they believe a third arrest is “imminent.” The vehicle was recovered.

On Monday just after 3 a.m., 20-year-old Fabrice Noel was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree (a class E felony), and petit larceny (a class A misdemeanor) after he was observed stealing items from a motor vehicle parked in a Sturgis Road driveway.

Police chased Noel on foot, and he was taken into custody a short distance away on Homesdale Road. He had stolen items from Sturgis Road on him, police said, as well as stolen items from a past crime committed in Mount Vernon.

Noel was remanded on $2,500 bail pending his next court appearance. Police are investigating the possibility that Noel may be connected to a May 21 burglary of another home on Homesdale Road.
