Bronxville Police Blotter August 30 – September 6: Assault Arrest, Petit Larceny Arrest

A look at some of the incidents investigated by the Bronxville Police Department for the week of August 30 - September 6, 2010. 

August 30:

10:08 p.m. Police received a call from a resident of Gramatan Court reporting that a few youths were congregating in the area. Police responded and arrested and charged three 17-year old Bronxville teens and one 18-year-old Bronxville teen with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage. The teens were alleged to have open containers of Four Loko. A 15-year-old Bronxville teen was also with the group but was not charged. The older teens were issued appearance tickets and are due in court on September 15. The younger teen was released to parents.

August 31:

1:48 p.m. Police stopped the driver of a 1997 Ford Expedition at White Plains Road on Paddington for talking on his cell phone. After checking his license, police found that it had been suspended on February 12 for failure to pay child support. The driver was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed in the 3rd degree and received an additional summons for talking on the cell phone. He is due in court on September 15.

3:01 p.m. Police received a call that a dog had been left locked in a car parked in the Garden Lot. Officers confirmed the dog was in the car and that it was over 90 degrees outside. After waiting for about ten minutes, the owner, a 66-year-old Mount Vernon resident, returned. She was issued an appearance ticket for violating the New York State Agricultural and Markets Law.

5:40 p.m. An EMS technician and employee of Trans Care NY Ambulance Service reported to police that a patient assaulted her while she was giving him aid in the foyer area of the emergency room at Lawrence hospital. Upon investigation, police arrested a 53-year-old Mount Vernon resident and charged him with assault in the 2nd degree, a felony. It's alleged that he punched the EMS worker in the face. She had swelling and bruising around the left eye, police said. The man was arraigned and sent to the County Jail.

September 2:

5:05 p.m. An employee of CVS on Pondfield Road called police to report a shoplifting that was happening. Upon investigation, officers located a 27-year-old Tuckahoe resident. The woman, who was found on Pondfield Road, allegedly had less than $100 of merchandise from Value Drugs. Value Drugs filed a complaint. The woman was arrested and charged with petit larceny. She was released on her own recognizance and is due in court on September 15.
