July 12:

10:30 a.m. An officer pulled over a driver on Pondfield Road whose car had only one taillight. Upon investigation, police found that the license plate of the 2003 BMW they had pulled over was actually registered to a 1997 Acura. Police issued the driver, Christopher Diaz, an 18-year-old Bronx resident, seven tickets: for having an un-inspected motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle with no license, operating a motor vehicle while unregistered, having no front license plate, improper use of plates and operating a motor vehicle with only one taillight. The car was impounded and Diaz was due is Village Court on July 21.

July 13:
8:36 a.m. A 32-year-old Yonkers resident was stopped while driving on Palmer Avenue after a license plate reader detected a suspended registration. The car, a 2005 Mercedes Benz, was impounded and the driver, Evette Walker, was set to appear in Village Court on July 21.
July 15:
11:13 a.m. Police received a call from the Pelham Police Department indicating that they had detained a Mount Vernon resident who had a warrant from the BPD. The 39-year-old was wanted for not appearing in Village Court in April. On January 27, he had been stopped for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. The man was arrested by the PPD and picked up the BPD. He was arraigned, released on $500 bail and was set to appear in court on July 21.
