Bronxville Police Blotter July 19 – 25, and July 29: Eggs Thrown at Houses, Tires Taken

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Bronxville Police Department for the week of July 19 – July 25 and July 29, 2010.

 

July 20:

8:30 a.m. Police stopped the driver of a 1999 GMC Savannah, after he was seen going through a red light. Upon investigation, police found that the license of the 21-year-old Bronx resident had been suspended in January for failing to answer to a summons in Mount Vernon. The driver was charged with passing a red light, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, 3rd, driving with an uninspected motor vehicle and driving with a broken windshield. He is due in court on August 4.

July 21:

3:30 p.m. A resident called police to report that the rear windshield of her 2009 Mercedes Benz had been broken. The car, which was parked on Gramatan Avenue, near Pondfield Road, was damaged sometime between 2 p.m. when the owner parked it, and 3 p.m. when she returned.

 

July 22:

7:56 a.m. A Pondfield Road resident told police that sometime between 9 p.m. on July 21 and 7 a.m. the next morning, both her home and car were hit with eggs. Neither sustained any physical damage.

 

July 24:

10:45 a.m. A resident of Pondfield Road reported that sometime between 7 p.m. on July 23rd and 10:30 a.m. on July 24, eggs were thrown at his house.

 

July 29:

5:55 a.m. An officer noticed that the rims and tires had been removed from a 2000 BMW parked in the Maltby lot. Police contacted the owner, who said he parked the car at about 10 p.m. on July 28 and that the tires were intact. The value of the tires is not known at this time.
