Bronxville Police Blotter: June 22 – 28: Three Arrested for Making Graffiti

June 22:

5:35 p.m. A 34-year-old Yonkers resident was stopped by police for driving with an expired inspection sticker. When officers checked his license, they found it was suspended. The man, Miguel Munoz, was arrested and later released on $75 bail. He was due in court on June 30.

June 24:
6:18 p.m. Police received a number of calls about a child being hit by a bus on White Plains Road. When they went to investigate, they found that while riding his bike north on White Plains Road, a 15-year-old Tuckahoe resident attempted to cross both lanes of traffic and make a left on to Tanglewylde Avenue. The bus, which was traveling north, came into contact with the rear tire of the bike. Although alert, the 15-year-old was transported to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation and minor abrasion treatment. No charges were filed against the bus driver.
June 28:
4:36 p.m. Police received a call from the Bronxville Tennis Center, reporting a group doing graffiti on the property. Upon investigation, police found graffiti on the walls of the bathroom at the Tennis Center, as well as the walls of the paddle tennis courts. Police detained an 18-year-old Yonkers woman, an 18-year-old Chappaqua man and an 18-year-old Yonkers man. All three were arrested and charged with making graffiti, a penal law violation, an A misdemeanor.
The Yonkers woman was released after making $1,000 bail, while the Yonkers man was released after making $2,000 bail. The Chappaqua man could not make the $500 bail and was sent to County Jail. They were all due in court on June 30.
After the arrests, police discovered graffiti in other areas of the Village, including the garages on Lake Ave., the MTA railroad underpass and the Rivermere Apartments. Police said they are confident the three arrested were also responsible for the additional graffiti.
