4:17 p.m. Police received a call from the A&P supermarket on Cedar Street, reporting a shoplifting. Coffee cake, orange juice, milk and a birthday card were taken from the store. Police located the person, who matched the description provided, on Pondfield Road. The store opted not to press charges and the person, a 74-year-old Bronx resident, was told not to return to the store.

July 1:
5:16 p.m. A resident of 85 Parkway Road reported a kitchen fire on the 2nd floor. Police responded, as did the Eastchester Fire Department, who extinguished the blaze. The water and smoke caused heavy damage to the building. The 73-year-old resident of the apartment was treated for smoke inhalation at Lawrence Hospital.
