Bronxville Police Chief Thwarts Yonkers Robbery

The chief was driving through Yonkers when he spotted the incident.

BRONXVILLE, NY — The police chief for Bronxville seems to always be on duty. Chief Christopher Satriale was driving through Yonkers Sunday when he saw what he thought was an elderly man being robbed by three young people at Central Park Avenue and Palmer Road.

Once he confirmed what had happened with the man, he followed the young men until his officers arrive to help, News 12 said.

The youths were arrested and the man, who was not injured, got his wallet back.
