Bronxville Village Budget Workshop Tonight at Library

After Monday evening's board of trustee meeting, Village Treasurer Bob Fels as well as the village board felt confident about finishing the budget by the end of April and their next budget workshop will be taking place tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the .
Village officials have found it all but impossible to keep the budget increase below the 2% tax cap that New York State has established.

"Pensions, workman's compensation and rising energy costs are just a few of the main reason why this 2% cap is simply unrealistic for the village," said Fels who also stated that the 2012-2013 budget does reflect positives such as retaining the same number of village employees and a healthy fund balance which should ensure the Village to keep it's AAA bond rating.
Mayor Marvin as well as the rest of the board encourages all residents to come out and participate in the budget process tonight at the Library.
