Bronxville Voters Dig Deep for Candidates

It becomes very clear when looking at the records of the hundreds of Village residents who have generously supported both President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney in their bid for the Presidency in 2012 that the people in Bronxville want to take as active a role as possible to ensure their candidate gets elected.

Patch has created an interactive database so you can see how much your neighbors are donating to the presidential campaign — and to which candidate they’re writing their checks. We’ve included communities across New York, including Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe so if you want to see what the campaign contributions in nearby towns are like, go right ahead by clicking here.

Some of the donations made in Bronxville were as small as $5 and as large as $2500 and many contributions came from business owners, retirees, students, artists, teachers and many others.

In Tuckahoe and Eastchester, the volume of contributions were a bit lower however still generous, totaling about 250 individual donors between the two locations.

Rachel Finch moved to Bronxville three years ago and is a student at Sarah Lawrence College. She says that despite being low on money, it was important for her to contribute.

"College students are always tight with money but I thought that maybe my $25 could make a difference in a small way for getting President Obama re-elected," said Finch.
