The Chapel School Preschoolers Make New Friends
Bronxville, NY – On Monday, October 5th, The Chapel School Preschool welcomed five preschool students from the New York School for the Deaf in White Plains. The class visiting was an auditory-oral class and were accompanied by their teachers and one translator. The Chapel School preschoolers were eager to show their guests a great time! The children participated in circle time, show and tell, learned songs, enjoyed a delicious snack, played on the playground, and participated in the Fire Prevention and Awareness visit from The Eastchester Fire District.
The Chapel School will continue to enjoy their new friendship with The New York School for the Deaf over the course of this school year with visits twice per month. The Chapel School’s Preschool Director, Michelle Tween, is thrilled about continuing this partnership. “I look forward to watching the preschoolers socialize and learn from each other. These visits benefit both groups of students in so many ways. Our students are excitedly learning some sign language so that they can communicate even better with their new friends!”
The Chapel School is located on 172 White Plains Road in Bronxville, New York. For more information about the Chapel School and its programs, please call 914-337-3202 or visit the website at www.thechapelschool.org
