“All the snow and below freezing temperatures have limited the time for our students to be active and outdoors. We created this challenge as way to encourage everyone to get moving and be active,” stated Mr. James Dhyne, Principal of The Chapel School. Research shows that children need movement to stimulate brain activity. Students enjoyed the time to move and burn up some energy. “This is fun!” exclaimed students. “Did you see Mr. Dhyne doing jumping jacks?” The students not only enjoyed the chance to be active but also were thrilled to see faculty and staff participate in the challenge as well. “Haha… even our teachers are exercising.”
