Con Ed.: One Outage Left in Eastchester

Customers throughout the Tri-State area are more and more returning to lights being on in their homes and gas stations having power and gasoline in their tanks.

Here in Westchester after hundreds of thousands of customers lost power just over two weeks ago, things have returned to normal for most families that only lost power during Hurricane Sandy.

Con Ed. is now reporting only one outage in the Town of Eastchester and no outages for the Villages of Bronxville or Tuckahoe.

The power company's estimate for all restorations for Westchester was originally Nov. 11 which has now come and gone, but Rebecca Alcines of Bronxville thinks Con Ed. could have done a better job in their efficiency and communication with customers.

"I did not see a truck on my block until last week and we finally got our power restored a few days later," stated Alcines who lives off Masterton Rd. in Bronxville, "I hope the Governor and other people in Albany hold them accountable."

Remember, if you do lose power at any time, you must report the outage and can do so by calling 1-800-75-CONED.
