
Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Randall Cutler, was arraigned today on a seven count indictment charging him with one felony and six misdemeanors.
Cutler, 43, of 10 Westway, is an attorney, according to the DA's press release, which detailed how the incident unfolded:
"On November 1, 2012 at 8:30am, Bronxville Police were called to the above address on a report of a “domestic dispute” between the defendant and his brother.
"The residence is owned by the parents of the defendant and his brother. The defendant was living there and had a bedroom on the third floor.
"This incident occurred in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the electricity was off in the house and the dispute arose over the use of a generator.
"The defendant began to argue with his brother and sister in law at which point the defendant pointed a firearm at his brother from the staircase.
"Responding police officers detained the defendant and subsequently arrested him.
"Police obtained a search warrant for the premises after which the defendant was charged with possession of four hand guns, a switchblade knife and brass knuckles."
Cutler, who faces a maximum sentence of seven years in state prison, is due back in court Sept. 4.
