It wasn’t the best weather for athletics but despite the rain Bronxville found a victory at home in soccer and another on the road in field hockey. The Eastchester boy’s soccer team fell in a thrilling match at Saunders.

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: Saunders @ Bronxville

Score:  Bronxville Won 6-0

Highlights: Bronxville cruised to victory as 5 different Broncos found the back of the net in the 6-0 home win. Lucy Kohlhoff led the way for the team as she scored twice and Charley Warble had 2 saves in the net. This marks the second time this season that Bronxville beat Saunders.

 

Sport: Boy’s Soccer

Game: Eastchester @ Saunders

Score:  Eastchester Lost 4-3

Highlights: Wednesday evening Saunders defended home field and avenged an earlier season loss against the Eagles. In Wednesday’s loss Eastchester’s Frederic Deltran had 5 saves, and Yukinojo Inadome had 2 goals and an assist for the Eagles. Saunders was led by Augustine Mfodwo and his 3 goals.

 

Today’s Schedule:

  • In field hockey, Bronxville will head to Hastings at 4:15 p.m.; the Broncos won the previous matchup 4-0.
  • In volleyball, Eastchester will head to Yonkers to face Saunders at 4:15 p.m. 
  • In boy’s soccer, Tuckahoe will host Irvington at 4:30 p.m.
  • In volleyball, Tuckahoe will hit the road to take on Woodlands High School at 4:15 p.m.
