Daily Sports Digest: Conway Named Class C Player of the Year

The All-State selections came out for football and while several local athletes made the first and second teams Bronxville senior Christian Conway was named the Player of the Year for Class C.

Conway led the Broncos to an 8-1 season and he was a key member of the team on both sides of the ball. His statistics from this season are nothing short of absurd and the young man is running out of room in his trophy case as he was named the Con Edsion Athlete of the Week in late October.

Local basketball teams hit the hardwood yesterday as teams from Eastchester and Tuckahoe both one. The Tuckahoe girls victory gave Coach John Kolkowski his first win with the team.

Sport: Boys Basketball

Game: Eastchester vs. Sleepy Hollow

Score: Eastchester Won 51-32

Highlights: Jack Daly led all scorers as he put in 22 points for the Eagles. Jack Centra and Harley Falasca each scored 10 in the loss.

Sport: Girls Basketball

Game: Palisades Prep vs. Tuckahoe

Score: Tuckahoe Won 29-20

Highlights: Taylar Graham led Tuckahoe to victory with 11 points. Angie Bargon scored 17 of her team’s 20 points in the loss.

In Girls Basketball, Eastchester will host Palisade Prep at 4:15 p.m.

In Wrestling, White Plains heads to Eastchester at 4:15 p.m.
