Daily Sports Digest: Eastchester Basketball Wins Twice

Local basketball took center stage last night as all three local boy’s teams were in action and the Bronxville and Eastchester girl’s team also played. The Bronxville boys lost a heartbreaking in overtime while Eastchester and Tuckahoe both pulled out wins. The Bronxville girls also fell to Hastings but the Eastchester ladies won with ease.

Sport: Boy’s Basketball

Game: Hastings vs. Bronxville

Score: Hastings Won 31-26 (OT)

Highlights: Hastings’ Dillon Healy led all scorers with 11 points, he also added eight rebounds and four steals. Jack Aherne was the high scorer for Bronxville with five.

 

Sport: Boy’s Basketball

Game: Eastchester vs. Roosevelt

Score: Eastchester Won 70-58

Highlights: Dave Solano had 29 points and eight rebounds in the win. Roosevelt’s Marvin Bates had 24 in the loss.

 

Sport: Boy’s Basketball

Game: Tuckahoe vs. Solomon Schechter

Score: Tuckahoe Won 86-49

Highlights: Tuckahoe had six players finish in double figures, Justin Nolan led the team with 15 points. Brian O’Toole added 13 in the win.

 

Sport: Girl’s Basketball

Game: Hastings vs. Bronxville

Score: Hastings Won 37-29

Highlights: Lucy Mondello led Hastings with 11 points in the win. Danielle Kelly had 12 and Grace Devlin added 10 in the loss.

 

Sport: Girl’s Basketball

Game: Eastchester vs. Roosevelt

Score: Eastchester Won 54-40

Highlights: Olivia Heffernan and Gabrielle Pinto led Eastchester with 12 points each. Hivelize Escobar had 23 points in the loss.

In Bowling, Tuckahoe and Scarsdale square off at 4:15 p.m.

In Girl’s Basketball, Tuckahoe heads to Rye Neck at 4:15 p.m.
