Eastchester Man Arrested for Bringing Marijuana to Sing Sing
The marijuana was identified during the screening process at the Ossining-based prison, according to state police.
A 26-year-old Eastchester man was arrested last week for allegedly bringing an undisclosed amount of marijuana into the visitation area at Sing Sing prison in Ossining, according to state police.
Gladstone Dankin was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation. He was arrested on Friday, July 25, but state police released information on it Thursday.

Ossining, New York - On July 25, 2014, The New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks charged Gladstone Dankin, age 26, of Eastchester, New York, with Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.
The arrest stemmed from a complaint received from the N.Y.S. Dept. of Corrections at Sing Sing prison. The investigation revealed Dankin, a visitor at the facility, introduced the contraband into the visitation area which was identified during the screening process.
The defendant was issued an Appearance Ticket to appear in the Town of Ossining Court on Tuesday August 5th, 2014.
