Eastchester Police Chief Thinks Selwyn Days Guilty

After each trial, the investigation was reopened.

EASTCHESTER, NY — It took five trials but Selwyn days was acquitted for murdering Archie Harris and Betty Ramcheron in 1996. However, Eastchester Police Chief Timothy Bonci still believes the right man was arrested for the crime.

Days was convicted in his fourth trial in 2011, but it was overturned by an appellate court.

The bodies of Harris and Ramcharan, Harris’ home health aide, were discovered Nov. 21, 1996, at 4 Berkley Circle in Eastchester.

Days was not arrested until February 2001.
