If you have been thinking about adopting a new pet, this is the place to be. Puppies, kittens, dogs and cats from local rescue group Pet Rescue will be available. Adoptions will take place at the Bronxville School (by the playground) from 10:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29th. If you are considering adopting a dog, fill out an application prior to the event. Pre-approved applicants will be able to bring home their new dog/puppy the day of the event. To see a preview of some of the dogs and cats that will be attending you can visit the Pet Rescue website www.ny-petrescue.org. (Adoption of cats does not require pre-approval). This site is constantly changing so please check it regularly before the big day. You will also find the dog application at this website. Please note on the application that you will be attending the Bronxville Memorial Day Adoption event as this will expedite the approval process. Families may apply for a specific dog that is currently posted on the website or can receive general approval for any dog that attends the adoption event. The requested donation for dogs: $200-$350. Cats: $75-$100. Bronxville based non-profit, Shelter Pet Alliance will be at the event to discuss proper pet care.
