Fall Prevention Awareness Week

Fall is just around the corner, but falls shouldn’t be just around the corner for older adults. That’s why NYP/Lawrence is joining forces with the National Council on Aging to celebrate Falls Prevention Awareness Day on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 – the first day of fall. At NYP/Lawrence, between 11am and 2pm in the main hospital lobby, we will be will be offering education on how to prevent falls at the hospital and in and around your home. While falls are the leading cause of both fatal and non-fatal injury for people over 65, they don’t have to be an inevitable part of aging. Join us on Wednesday to learn how to safeguard your environment and prevent falls.
