Have You Seen Bronxville PD's New Cruisers?

The Bronxville Police Department has replaced three of their older police vehicles with brand new Ford Explorers which will be more technologically equipped.

While walking or driving through Bronxville, you may have seen the shiny new Bronxville Police vehicles, with their black color and gold lettering rolling through the village.

The new Ford Explorers have replaced three of the departments older vehicles and were purchased through capitol budget revenue as well as new laptop and computer equipment within the vehicles, that were purchased by grant funding.

Police Chief Christopher Satriale says that the new computer systems on-board will allow officers to not only print out citations right from the computer but also will link citations electronically into the village court system and other departments.

The vehicles will also be equipped with electronic license plate scanners, which alert the department to stolen vehicles and expired registrations.
