Joan Silber - "Did That Really Happen?: Experiences and Invention"

Joan Silber holds the The Michele Tolela Myers Chair in Writing. She has a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MA from New York University. She is the author of three story collections, Ideas of Heaven (finalist for the National Book Award and the Story Prize) In My Other Life, and Fools, and four novels, The Size of the World, Lucky Us, In the City, and Household Words. She is a recipient of a Literature Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and grants from National Endowment for the Arts and New York Foundation for the Arts.
