Lane Closures Begin Tonight on Sprain Pkwy
Motorist will encounter closures in both directions between I-287 and the Bronx River Parkway for paving projects expected to last nightly thru the end of November.

Prepare yourself for congested traffic conditions if you drive on the Sprain Brook Parkway between the hours of 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Monday-Friday.
The New York State Department of Transportation announced they will be intermittently closing lanes in both directions of the parkway from I-287, south to the Bronx River Parkway beginning Thursday Sept. 13.

Drivers are encouraged to obey all traffic laws in the area and to pay attention to all workers who are present in the work zone and reminded that traffic fines are doubled for speeding in work zones.
Convictions of two or more speeding violations in work zones can result in the suspension of your driver's license according to the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005.
