Latimer Credits Mayor Marvin on Mandate Relief
In a statement issued by Geroge Latimer's spokesman, the New York State Senate candidate credits Bronxville Mayor Mary C. Marvin, not Bob Cohen for innovative thinking regarding mandate relief.

Â
Responding to a press conference held on Monday Aug. 6 in which New York State Senate candidate , Brian Hegt, spokesman for NYS Senate candidate George Latimer called Cohen's mandate relief plan hardly news.
"It should be noted that Mayor Mary Marvin in Bronxville had already begun the call for and Mayor Marvin has evidenced innovative thinking in regards to mandate relief," stated Hegt who continued that, "Cohen should not take credit for the Mayor's ideas."
Latimer is way ahead of Cohen in co sponsoring A.8644, which shifts the cost of Medicaid from the County to the State and he was also the prime sponsor of A6870, which allows electronic recording and storage of documents by county clerks according to Hegt.
"If Bob Cohen wants to truly get at the heart of unfunded mandates then he should be answering why he did not support A9271B, which would have consolidated State primary elections in June and saved New Yorkers $50 million," said Hegt.
