BRONXVILLE, NY - The first baby born in Bronxville on Feb. 29 was celebrated at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital Monday.

She was due on Feb. 27, but her parents think she waited until Feb. 29 on purpose.
“We had a number of false alarms and thought she would be early, but I think she held in just to be a leap year baby,” Ramirez said.

The parents are both from Yonkers, but reside in Maybrook, Orange County.
