The Lives and Art of Tintoretto and Veronese

Both masters of art, Tintoretto and Veronese were rivals in the Venetian School of art during the renaissance.

Equally adept at using color and perspective, their artwork differed greatly. Tintoretto, dubbed Il Furioso, used dramatic and energetic figures and was a precursor to baroque art, while Veronese relied on contrasting yet harmonious colors to convey a more classical and naturalist approach. In this lecture, presented by Toni McKeen, we will compare their lives and art.
