Man Arrested Stealing From Church Donation Box: Police
Police said he repeatedly banged his head against the police car partition after being taken into custody.

A Yonkers man was arrested for stealing money from a church donation box. Around 2:47 p.m. Jan. 19, members of the Yonkers Police Department’s 4th Precinct Anti-Crime unit responded to the Sacred Heart Church at 110 Shonnard Place for the report of a suspicious male removing money from the church's donation box.
Officers upon arrival found Kevin Madison, 39, of Morningside Place in Yonkers, trying to leave the area and took him into custoday.
An investigation found that Madison entered the church and used a metal hook to “fish” approximately $30 from the donation box, police said. He was observed on surveillance video by administrators who contacted the police, and the metal hook and the money were recovered as evidence.
