MGM Gets OK To Buy Hudson Valley Casino, Raceway

Yonkers Racing Corporation came to an agreement in May to sell to MGM Resorts International.

YONKERS, NY — It's a go for MGM Resorts to purchase Empire City Casino. The state Gaming Commission gave its approval Monday for a series of licenses that will allow the sale to go through.

The purchase of the casino and raceway still has to take place, the date of which is not yet known, the Journal News said.

There had been a meeting scheduled for sale approval earlier in January but it was abruptly canceled.
