Dog of the Week: Daisy

Breed: Brown Brindle Terrier mix

Age: 15 months old

Bio: Daisy was first adopted from the Yonkers Animal Shelter last fall when she was about five months old, however after all this time she was returned because the family’s dog “did not like her.” Daisy weighs around 45 pounds, is very calm, and gets along great with other dogs. She loves people, especially children, and is easy to walk. She also loves giving kisses, so stop by the shelter today to get yours!

Cat of the Week: Moose

Breed: Domestic Short Haired

Age: 5 years old

Bio: Moose is very much the mascot of the main cat room at the Yonkers Animal Shelter. He is a big cat who lived outside as a stray for many years before being brought into the shelter. Moose weighs at least 16 pounds, although he rarely uses his large stature to his advantage. He respects everyone, and lives in harmony with all other cats around him. He does not like to be pet or picked up much, although when he feels like it he will certainly let you know. Find out today if you are the one for Moose!
