UPDATED: Pedestrian Struck by Car in Tuckahoe
The incident happened Friday morning at the intersection of Main st. and Marbledale Rd. according to Tuckahoe PD.

The streets of Tuckahoe Friday morning became life threatening when at about 7:40 a.m., an elderly woman was crossing the street at the corner of Main St. and Marbledale Rd. when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle according to Tuckahoe Police.
Tuckahoe PD as well as EVAC responded to the scene and the woman was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Hospital.

The Scarsdale woman, whose name has not yet been released, suffered a head laceration and expressed pain in her hip.
Tuckahoe PD spoke with the driver of the vehicle, who was traveling east on Main St. and the driver told police that he became blinded by sunglare and that may have caused the accident. A sobriety test was administered to which the driver passed and police are calling the incident an accident at this time.
