Tuckahoe Police were asked to fill out a damaged property report after two Gifford Street neighbors were in disagreement over a payment owed in conjunction with accidental damage caused to one of their cars. Back in June, one of the parties involved backed their car into their neighbor’s, causing damage to it. After initially agreeing to pay for the repairs, the culprit later refused, saying the estimate was too high. Since 10 days had elapsed since the original incident, Tuckahoe Police were unable to take any action, and the case was deemed a civil matter. Upon talking with one another and Tuckahoe police officers, the neighbor responsible for the damages agreed to pay for the repairs if a new estimate was obtained.
