Police Officer Hit, Injured by Car During Eastchester Columbus Day Parade: Reports
The officer suffered unknown but not life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

An auxiliary police officer who was directing traffic during the Eastchester Columbus Day Parade Sunday was struck and injured by a vehicle that veered into an intersection, according to a report in The Journal News.
The officer, whose name was not disclosed, suffered unknown but not life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The accident occurred about about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Dempsey and Main. Before hitting the officer, the vehicle hit three parked cars on Dempsey. The driver of the vehicle, an SUV that carried a Tuckahoe-Eastchester Lions Club banner, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
