3 Arrests Made After Stolen Car Chase In Rye: PD
Rye City Police announced the arrest of three people after a stolen vehicle chase in the city Tuesday.
RYE, NY — Three people were arrested Tuesday after a stolen vehicle report ended with a chase into a marsh and a manhunt for one of the people in the vehicle, police said.
Per Rye police, the call for the stolen vehicle came in at 8:35 a.m. with reports that the vehicle had been taken off of Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck. After police located the car, it did not stop but kept going onto Old Post Road, then drove off into a marshy area near the St. Regis residences and Playland Access Drive where it became disabled, police said.
Two men and two women got out of the car and ran off, police said. Police caught the two women near the disabled car and found one of the men a short time after between the Summit Heath and Osborn Retirement Community property lines, police said.

In efforts to search within the perimeter, police said K-9 units, helicopter and drone support were all deployed.
