Westchester County Man, 20, Indicted on Murder Charges

The following is the press release from Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore concerning the indictment of Jahkim McGhee in connection with the home invasion and murder of Anthony Guglielmo in 2011:

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that a four count indictment was unsealed today against Jahkim McGhee (DOB 07/02/94) of 544 Locust Avenue, Port Chester, New York charging him with:

• two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, class “A-1” Felonies,
• one count of Burglary in the First Degree, a class “B” Felony,
• one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, in the Fourth Degree, a class “A” Misdemeanor,

relating to the death of Anthony Guglielmo.

On Sunday September 11th, 2011 at approximately 5:30am Port Chester police receive a 911 call of a Burglary in progress at 235 Mortimer Street with a person stabbed.

The call was made by victim’s then 14 year-old daughter, Nicole Guglielmo, who stated that her father had been stabbed by the intruder.

EMS and Police respond finding the victim lying on floor of living room in a massive pool of blood.

A large butcher knife is on floor and the victim has a stab wound to the chest.

Port Chester police detectives initiated an investigation along with the Westchester County Police who processed the crime scene.

Police and prosecutors and investigators from the District Attorneys office continued to press the case, developing information as to the identity of the perpetrator.

During 2010 and early 2011 the victim and his daughter had lived in an apartment across the street from the defendant’s.

The defendant, who is currently a state prisoner, will be processed later today.

The defendant was remanded.

The defendant’s next court date will be on November 6th, 2014.

The defendant faces a maximum of twenty five years to life in prison.

Assistant District Attorney Perry Perrone, Chief of the Homicide Bureau, and Assistant District Attorney Nadine Nagler of the Superior Court Trial Division are prosecuting the case.
