The two arrested appear to be homeless men from the Erie, Pennsylvania area.

Two men, who authorities say are homeless but came from the Erie, PA area, have been arrested in connection with the killing and robbery of 61-year-old Mary Whitaker, the former violinist with the Westchester Philharmonic.

The Journal News is reporting that Jonathan M. Conklin, 43, and Charles R. Sanford, 30, were arrested Friday and were scheduled to be arraigned late Friday afternoon. They face federal charges and may also face state charges in connection with the killing and robbery.

Authorities found Whitaker’s car in Pennsylvania and had surveillance video of a man using one of Whitaker’s credit cards.
