Republicans Win Tuckahoe-Bronxville Races

The GOP swept all of the races in the Village of Tuckahoe and the Village of Bronxville.

This morning, we are learning that Tuckahoe's GOP candidates have swept the election, according to the Village of Tuckahoe Clerk's Office. We all know that Republican incumbent Mayor Steve Ecklond was poised to serve another term, due to his running unopposed. But what we didn't know was who would walk away with the two trustee seats that two Republicans and two Democrats were vying for.

As it turns out, both Republicans, incumbent Trustee Tom Giordano and Greg Luisi have prevailed in last night's election. The two had been matched up against Democrats Seth Schultz and Andrew Watiker. Here is how the official results from the Tuckahoe Clerk's Office broke down:

  • Steven Ecklond –Mayor        538
  • Thomas Giordano – Trustee  436
  • Greg Luisi -Trustee               426
  • Seth Schultz                        334
  • Andrew Watiker                   326

In Bronxville, all three incumbent candidates were running unopposed. Republican Mayor Mary Marvin, Republican Trustee Robert Underhill and Republican Trustee Donald Gray will serve another two year term.
