Pelham Chess Tournament, November 15 at 9:30am in the Pelham Middle School
More than 130 young people participated in Pelham’s inaugural chess tournament last year, putting Pelham on the map as a destination for the metropolitan area’s top chess players. This year’s 2nd Annual Pelham Chess Tournament--slated for November 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Pelham Middle School-- is expected to have an even bigger draw. Mike Ellenbogen, renowned local chess coach, will return to oversee an exciting day of matches. Registrations can either be mailed in or entered online at

For all tournament inquiries or to request a registration form, email pelhamchess@gmail.com. The tourney, sponsored by the Pelham Middle School PTA, will offer both rated and first time non-rated sections based on skill level and is open to grades K-12.
