When I walk around a carnival, like this weekend's event at Immaculate Conception School, I'm always surprised by how small everything seems. When I was a kid, wasn't the Ferris Wheel a whole lot taller? Did the Scrambler spin a lot faster?
Of course, it's all a matter of time and scale. When you're four years old and three feet tall, everything seems a lot taller and a lot faster.
Surely it seemed that way for these kids enjoying the carnival on Sunday. I took this photo from probably 15 feet up. But to them, it was the top of the world.
