We had a heckuva downpour on Tuesday afternoon. I found myself on Metro North, barrelling north through Harlem to Bronxville, in the heart of the storm.
There's something quieting about watching the skies unload from inside a comfortable, dry train car. The water snakes down the windows, creating patterns that change with the speed of travel.
Of course, you hope for a patch of clearing before you detrain at your destination, which in this case, I didn't get.
