Three Longtime Faculty Members Retiring From Bronxville School
The board accepted the resignation of two teachers and a librarian at their meeting on Thursday.
At its meeting on Thursday, the Board of Education accepted the resignation of three long-time education professionals, who will retire from the Bronxville school system in June.
The three have a combined 88 years of service, according to John Kehoe, Assistant Superintendent for Administration.
The teachers retiring are: Tina Anchin, who teaches foreign language at the middle school and who has been working in the district for 32 years; Clare Gorman, the middle and high school librarian who has been with the schools for 25 years and 31-year vet and elementary school teacher Elizabeth Grogan.

At the meeting, Gorman said the incentive package did weigh into her decision to leave her post. She said she looks forward to ‘unsetting’ her alarm clock.
Dr. David Katz, the president of the Bronxville Teachers Association called the teachers “three of the most stellar amongst our faculty,” and noted that the “number of years does little justice to the amount of work they’ve done.”
