The Board approved the donation of a trolley to the Village from the Generoso Pope Foundation. The trolley, which was purchased from Hometown Trolley by Double K, Inc. out of Wisconsin, arrived in the Village over the weekend.

The inaugural ride will be on Friday, August 13 at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Pope Foundation, said Mayor Fitzpatrick, who urged the public to come out.

David Pope, president of the Pope Foundation, who was at the meeting, thanked the Board and Senator Jeff Klein for their support, along with DPW head Frank DiMarco and others who helped with the project.

The cost and routes of the trolley are still being worked out, but are expected to be decided upon soon.

Taxi Driver License Revoked

The Board approved revoking the Village taxi driver license of George Loccisano.

According to Eastchester police, on July 23 at 1:30 p.m. Loccisano was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

"That's the reason I wanted these individuals drug tested," Mayor Fitzpatrick said at the meeting.
