Tuckahoe High School Again Named State Reward School

Tuckahoe High School was named a High Performing Reward School.

Tuckahoe High School has been selected as a New York State Reward School, the third consecutive year the school received the honor, interim School Superintendent Charles T. Wilson announced.

Schools receive the recognition from the state Commissioner of Education when they ”have made the most progress or have the highest performance with no significant gaps in student achievement.” Tuckahoe High School was named a High Performing Reward School.

According the New York State Education Department, in 2015 the award was presented to 365 “achieving and high progress schools” in the state.

This award is in line with the Tuckahoe district’s strategic plan and mission “Preparing every student for excellence,” according to Wilson.
