August 23:

4:49 p.m. A resident reported to police that his car had been damaged. He said that he parked his 1998 Subaru Impreza on Maynard Street at about 8 p.m. on August 21 and when he returned on the 23rd, it looked as if the car had been sideswiped.
8:54 p.m. Police received a call that a man had been seen taking photos of the Chase Bank on Columbus Avenue. Officers checked the area but couldn't find anyone.

August 24:
9:31 a.m. A caller reported a possible scam to police. The caller said she received a letter stating she had won $55,000 in the UK and North America Consumer Promotion Draw. The letter contained a check for $3,920 and instructed the caller to cash it. The caller went to the bank, where they told her it could be a possible scam and not to cash the check. The caller then reported the matter to police.
2:33 p.m. The parking officer reported an altercation on Main Street. Upon investigation, a Mahopac resident told police that she had taken her daughter and two of her daughter's friends to a dentist appointment. While she was in the office with her daughter, the two friends were sitting in the car. She said that a male walked up to the car, grabbed the driver's side wheel well above the bumper and shook the car. The girls screamed and the man left. Officers checked the area but couldn't find him.
August 26:
1:34 p.m. Police received a report that two bikes had been stolen from the back of the apartment building at 87 Main Street. Police were told that the bikes, a BMX worth $100 and a Schwinn worth $100, were last seen near a tree in the yard on August 25 at about 5:30 p.m. Later, the BMX bike was located at the Mobile station on Marbledale Road. The bike had front wheel damage. The Schwinn bike was not located.
6:40 p.m. Police received a report that a car in the Crestwood parking lot had been damaged. The owner of a 2009 Black Lexus said that the car looked to have been hit while in the parking lot and there were scuff marks on the rear bumper.
August 27:
4:43 p.m. Police were advised there was an individual who had been assaulted. The person had a laceration to the face and a shoulder injury and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
