10:24 a.m. Numerous calls came in reporting an accident on Main Street. Police reported that a 2009 Mercedes Benz was parked at a meter in Depot Square, before the driver, a 75-year-old Bronxville resident, pulled out of the spot. Meanwhile, the driver of a 1989 GMC dump truck was heading in the same direction—both attempted to make a right turn from Depot Square to Main Street. The GMC driver said the Bronxville resident didn't use her blinker, but the resident said she did.
The GMC clipped the rear bumper of the Mercedes. Police say the driver of the Mercedes hit the accelerator instead of the break, causing the car to go through the intersection, up onto the curb and into the streetlight and bushes on Main and Columbus.
