Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Tuckahoe Police Department for the week of June 21 – 27, 2010.

 

June 23:

4:08 a.m. A Lincoln Avenue resident called police to report hearing high-pitched animal noises in the area. Although officers who responded heard the noises as well, they could not identify the animal or find it.

June 25:

12:28 p.m. A resident reported to police that an antique diamond ring was missing from her house. The ring, which had been purchased over 20 years ago, is valued at $2,500. The resident had last seen it on Wednesday, June 23. 

 

June 26:

9:27 a.m. Officers responded to a car accident that had been reported in front of 300 Columbus Avenue. According to the report, a driver in a green 1996 Toyota Corolla was heading south on Columbus Avenue when a driver in a black 2003 BMV pulled out of a parking space, hitting the car's right front bumper and fender. The driver of the BMW told police he hadn't seen anyone coming when he pulled out of the space. The damaged car was towed. The driver of that car complained of pain in her upper back and neck.

 

5:45 p.m. A caller reported seeing four men in their 20s walking towards Stebbins Avenue, telling police it appeared as if they were looking inside cars. Officers found the four young adults, who were buying ice cream from an ice cream truck. When asked, the men said they were walking to the school. Police said it didn't look as if they were involved in any criminal activities.
