He told police he hadn't moved the car. Police made a report of the incident.
July 5:
10:28 p.m. The Eastchester Police Department called to notify the Tuckahoe Police Department that a woman had reported a man videotaping children at the Fisher Avenue park. TPD officers called the woman, who said that she had seen a man filming in the park and asking children if they wanted to be in a movie.
Police were sent to the scene and several minutes later, found a possible match for the suspect on the southbound platform of the Crestwood train station. Police interviewed the man, an Astoria, Queens resident, who said that he was scouting locations for a short film that he was producing for school and had been talking to kids. The man showed officers a valid school ID from the New York Film Academy and volunteered the footage to police. Officers viewed it and determined that there was nothing inappropriate.
A criminal check was done on the man, which came back negative. Officers advised him that if he was going to film in the Village he needed to receive permission and go through the proper channels first.
In total, the Tuckahoe Police Department received three calls for various fireworks complaints. Nothing of note occurred, police said.
