July 8:

1:36 a.m. While on patrol, a member of the Tuckahoe police department was walking through the Garrett Avenue park, when he saw a man asleep in a sleeping bag on a park bench. The man refused to answer any questions. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety was called, since the park is considered County property, along with additional officers from the TPD.

When officers attempted to talk to the man, who was later identified through fingerprints as 22-year-old Tuckahoe resident Michael Faggianelli, he became combative and began to fight with police. He kicked one of the officers in the face, bruising his jaw and splitting his lip. A TPD officer tasered the man, who was then arrested. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault in the 2nd degree. Since his mental state was in question for his responses to police, he was sent for psychiatric evaluation. He is currently being held at the County Jail with no bail. He is due in Tuckahoe Village Court on July 20.

July 9:

After arriving on the scene, police requested backup since the group consisted of multiple disorderly parties. Police asked the group to get out of the street and one in the group, an 18-year-old male from Tuckahoe, refused and became violent with officers, who tasered him. The man, Dathon Bell, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He is due in court on July 20.

July 10:

8:33 p.m. A caller reported that a man had dropped a soda in a mailbox. When the caller confronted the man, a 16-year-old Tuckahoe resident, about why he did it, he said he thought it was a garbage can. When police spoke with the teen, he gave them the same explanation. The teen was warned not to put anything other than mail in the mailbox.

July 12:

3 a.m. Officers responded to the scene of a car accident at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Main Street. A driver of a Lexus reportedly hit another car from behind while stopped at the light. When police investigated, the found that the Lexus driver was drunk. A search of the car turned up a small amount of marijuana and what was believed to be crack/cocaine. The driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
