Tuckahoe Residents Take Proposed Hotel to Court

The plan is to build a hotel and restaurant over a former landfill.

TUCKAHOE, NY — A lawsuit has been filed by Tuckahoe residents against a hotel developer who wants to build a hotel and restaurant on a contaminated former dump.

Multiples agencies, including the planning board, state Department of Environmental Conservation and state Health Department, are being sued to overturn permitting decisions, lohud.com said.

A environmental lawyer for the Marriott hotel has said tests conducted on the site have been above and beyond what was required.
