Two Arrested for Assault in Bronxville

Police arrested a Yonkers resident and a Bronxville resident on Pondfield Road Monday.

A Yonkers woman and a Bronxville teen were arrested on Monday after they allegedly assaulted a woman on Pondfield Road, police said.

At 3:25 p.m. police responded to the front of 94 Pondfield Road, after receiving numerous calls about the incident.

The two, 28-year-old Yonkers resident Alexandria Greco and a 16-year-old Bronxville resident (whose name is being withheld since he's eligible for youth offender status) were arrested and charged with assault in the 3rd degree, police said.

According to police, the two allegedly threw the victim, a 31-year-old, to the ground and punched and dragged her along the sidewalk. Apparently, the altercation began with Greco and the victim and the Bronxville resident joined in. 

Police said there was a relationship between Greco and the victim's brother. All three involved in the incident knew each other.

The victim sustained injuries to her lip, face, neck, arms and legs and was treated by EVAC at the scene.

The two were arraigned and released on their own recognizance. They're scheduled to appear in Village court on September 1. An order of protection was also issued.
